Ninth Annual Archive Ceramics Lecture

For those of you within travelling distance of the Minton Archive’s home here in Stoke-on-Trent there’s a chance to find out how Italian Renaissance maiolica influenced Minton pottery at the Annual Archive Ceramics Lecture.

The lecture, given by Claire Blakey, Project Curator at The Burrell Collection and former Curator at the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery, will use the unparalleled resource of the Minton Archive and be illustrated with Archive artwork as well as the ceramics produced by this pioneering factory. The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery’s gem of a collection of Italian maiolica will be used to provide the background to this design inspiration.
